If you're a foreign university student, Chinese language student, or recent graduate with a great startup idea, you can apply for free office space and a host of startup resources in Shanghai. The government is underwriting 30 spots for promising young entrepreneurs in partnership with the business consulting firm Orlocity. In addition to the office space, selected founders will have access to free workshops, tax information, and consulting.
Entrepreneurs should apply with a short deck (max 10 slides), including a brief introduction of the company, its product or service, and value proposition, as well as what sets the company apart from its competitors. In addition, they should provide their personal information and background.
Applicants must be current university students or have graduated within one year, or current Chinese language program students or have graduated within six months. For those who are currently students, it is not necessary to have already registered the company; however, recent graduates should have already registered their company with the Shanghai Administration for Industry & Commerce. Businesses registered through Orlocity will receive preference.
The deadline for application is May 20, so act fast!
